Community Involvement

Jonathan R. Sennett lives in New Paltz, New York, with his wife of more than a dozen years, Mari Ann, and their two young daughters. In addition to coaching and sponsoring his children's various sports teams, Jonathan remains active in the community through political and charitable work. He has served as a member of the Town of New Paltz Environmental Conservation Commission (2003-2005) and is currently the vice-chairman of the Town of New Paltz Democratic Committee. His organization memberships include the N.A.A.C.P., A.C.L.U., N.Y.S. Defenders Association, Bronx District Attorneys Alumni Association, New York State Bar Association, Ulster County Bar Association and Dutchess County Bar Association.

Jonathan also serves on the board of directors of two charitable organizations in Ulster County: The Queens Galley, a food insecurity resource that provides three meals daily as well as food pantry and educational services for all who inquire (www.queensgalley.org): and, the Save Them Now Program, a re-entry program for former inmates and residents of long-term substance abuse treatment programs that provides safe, clean & sober housing along with other assistance. 

Jonathan and his family also support a number of other local charitable organizations, such as Family of New Paltz, St. John Boscoe Child & Family Services and the Mohonk Preserve.
